MAN IN A ROOM is independent Songwriter and Music producer Steven Connolly.  Hailing from Dublin, Ireland.  He is a completely self-taught Composer, Producer and Lyricist. Influenced by many styles of Music and artists from every era. Classical, Folk, Film Score, Jazz, Blues, World Music, Soul, Electronica, Drum and Bass... The List is as long as it is varied.



He is not just musically influenced. He is also a keen observer of life. Of situations and of circumstances. With interests in Science, Psychology and Philosophy and in all things that bubble just beneath the surface or just out of view.



All these notions are fused in his own work and so he strives to be as eclectic as possible. Believing that almost any genre can be considered when developing a concept. The aspirations lay in the message of the Music rather than in any particular style that might be used to achieve it.



Steven uses deep atmospheres, found sounds, Acoustic and Synth driven palettes as well as a host of talented guest Vocalists and Session Musicians from around the Globe. All lending themselves to a very broad collection of work.

He has released and licensed Music with numerous Record Labels and Publishing company’s including Mood Media, ZYX, Secret Life, Hed Kandi, Royal Plastic,  MyMusic (Warner Music PL), Silver Angel,  Clubstar,  M-Sol, Nippi,  Psychonavigation, Elevation Records,  Queep Organic House and LEMONGRASSMUSIC (Germany).  His works have been featured on countless Compilation Albums worldwide and is supported by many International DJ's, Broadcasters and Radio Stations throughout.  

Steven has also garnered an Official nomination at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA's California)
